The Newton CCD camera is ideally suited to high performance spectroscopic applications. The high resolution, NIR-enhanced sensor delivers up to 95% QE. Combined with Andor Technology’s low noise electronics, it provides convenient multi-Megahertz readout and USB connectivity. The camera utilizes a 1024 x 255 array of 26μm² pixels with thermoelectric cooling down to -100°C resulting in negligible dark current. The system offers the best performance for a wide range of spectroscopic applications across Vis-NIR wavelengths.

  Based on a Horizontal Pixel Readout of 100KHz and a vertical pixel shift of 13μS. Vertical speeds are software selectable. All sensors are guaranteed to operate at 13μs vertical pixel shift and most can be clocked faster. At these faster speeds there may be some degradation of Charge Transfer Efficiency (C.T.E.). FVB is short for Full Vertical Binning (Binning is a process that allows charge from two or more pixels to be combined on the EMCCD-chip prior to readout).
